About

Welcome to the MCG Athens Married (or affianced) Student Association.  We hope you enjoy all that the MSA has to offer.  Feel free to look around and see if there is anything that interests you.

Our purpose at the MSA is to provide various services to the MCG Athens community.  That is, to provide opportunities to get to know one another and to grow together as new doctors and/or spouses.

The Married Student Association began the summer of 2011 in recognition of the need to provide a setting where married (and, affianced) students can meet together and learn from one another about the unique pressures facing married students, and eventually married doctors.

There are many ways the MSA can benefit you, whether you are a student or the spouse of a student (or fiance).  First, you can take advantage of the services we provide (for example, we will provide childcare during all MCG Athens events, or a textbook rental program–eventually).  Secondly, you can offer your services to the MSA (for example, by providing childcare to the MSA–:-) ).  Finally, you can get involved by becoming a board member of the MSA (somebody has to do it).

If any of these interest you.  Just contact someone from the MSA and let us know.  If you have any suggestions for the MSA, please don’t hesitate to tell us and we will definitely take your idea into consideration.

Best of luck in the coming year.  We can’t wait to meet you.

Moving Assistance

Dear Students and Spouses,

I hope you are all enjoying your summer thus far.  I am just posting to let all the married students know that there is assistance available for moving if you would like.

Yes.  It’s true.  If you’ve picked a place to live, and know the date you are going to move your stuff in, you can get a couple of married students to come give you a hand getting settled in!  The process is quite simple: call us, or email us,  and let us know.

Just for reference, the number is on the contact us page.  Just click the tab on the top.

As always, enjoy the rest of your summer.
